Our first of its kind stringer was invented in 1992 by skilled huntsman and inventor Gordy Mickens. Unhappy with the bow stringer options available at the time, Gordy created his own prototype, after years of trial and refinement, became the dependable Selway Archery stringer known today. For over 40 years, he and his wife Roxie built the company with hands-on dedication to every piece produced.

Today, Gordy’s grandson, Cameron and his wife Marli carry on that tradition. Cameron has been involved in every step of the business since he was old enough to tie a knot, and together they continue to handcraft every stringer in Montana, ensuring the same level of quality and care that has defined Selway from the beginning.
